Total number of brokerage accounts in KCSD’s nominee holding system reached 4,945,213 as of December 01, 2025, including 697,592 accounts that belong to holders’ subaccounts and 4,247,621 for brokerage accounts of holders recorded through omnibus accounts*.
In November 2025, total number of accounts in KCSD’s nominee holding system increased by 134,647 or 2.8 %. The growth is attributed to the holders' brokerage accounts, which are recorded through omnibus accounts. During the specified period, they increased by 133,870 or 3.25 %, subaccounts of holders increased slightly by 777 accounts or 0.1%.
Over 11 months of the current year, the number of brokerage accounts in the Central Securities Depository's nominee holding system increased by 1,444,427 accounts, or by 41.2%. The number of holder sub-accounts grew by 12,179 accounts, or by 1.8%. The number of holder brokerage accounts recorded via omnibus accounts increased by 1,432,248 accounts, or by 50.9%.
"The increase in the number of opened brokerage accounts in Kazakhstan clearly demonstrates the continuing growth of the population's interest in investment activity in the stock market. Such dynamics reflect not only positive changes occurring in the market environment itself, including the improvement of infrastructure, the implementation of modern technological solutions, and increased accessibility of investment services, but also a noticeable strengthening of citizens' trust in the instruments of the securities market," noted Yedil Medeu, Chairman of the Management Board of the Central Securities Depository.
