Amendments and Additions No. 6 (Amendments) to the Rules for Establishment, Maintenance and Termination of Business Relationships were approved by absentee voting of the members of the Board of Directors of Central Securities Depository JSC (Central Securities Depository), which was held on November 08, 2024.
These Amendments were developed in order to minimize the risks inherent in the activities of the Central Securities Depository and possible due to non-compliance with the requirements of OFAC, recordkeeping organizations and/or servicing banks when they establish requirements, restrictions and/or special conditions that have a direct impact on the activities of the Central Securities Depository, and provide for:
norms imposing obligations on the clients of the Central Securities Depository to protect the Central Securities Depository from claims/lawsuits from their clients;
right of the Central Securities Depository to refuse to provide services to the client in case it may entail the occurrence of any of the risks inherent in the activities of the Central Securities Depository, which was identified by its employees within the framework of internal control procedures.
These Amendments shall be effective as of December 04, 2024.
